Abstract
We present a general-purpose tracker structured
as a rule-based expert system. The system is aimed at tracking rigid
and
non-rigid objects in video sequences without any assumption on the
working
scenario, on the nature of objects and on their possible interactions.
This tracking core can easily be integrated with application-specific
modules
to carry out specific video surveillance task requiring a significant
degree
of scene understanding.
